At the end of July, North Frisian OffTEC Base GmbH & Co. KG was awarded the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) certification for Basic Technical Training (BTT) for both onshore and offshore. With immediate effect, candidates who successfully complete the BTT course will also be awarded a GWO certificate. The Basic Technical Training prepares onshore and wind industry offshore to cope with the dangers posed by the different systems in wind turbines. Die Participants are taught how to handle hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems and sensitised about the dangers faced at work.
Compact, and all in one place
The training centres specialises in safety training courses and carries out all modules in accordance with GWO standards at the Enge-Sande base, and if desired also as cost-transparent full service. The four-day BTT is aimed at technically trained staff who do not yet have any experience with hydraulic, mechanical or electrical systems. The course can also be used as advanced training for technicians with specialist knowledge in these area, but have little experience of their application in wind turbines. The GWO certificate that the participants receive is valid indefinitely.
Thanks to the recent extension of the Technical Training Centre, OffTEC has also been able to expand its range of technical training courses for onshore and offshore that can build on the basic training.
