GWO Basic Safety Training - Onshore Block

Participants are taught basic knowledge and skills in safety and rescue at height, personal safety, first aid, fire prevention and fighting and survival at sea under particularly realistic conditions.

• GWO First Aid - 2 days / 16 lessons
• GWO Manual Handling - 0.5 days / 4 lessons
• GWO Working at Heights - 2 days / 16 lessons
• GWO Fire Awareness - 0.5 days / 4 lessons

Persons working in the construction, operation, maintenance and repair of onshore wind turbines.

A minimum of physical fitness is expected. Participants must not have any health-related restrictions, especially to the respiratory tracts, or suffer any cardiovascular diseases or spinal disorders.

In accordance with youth protection legislation, the minimum age for participation is 18 years

6 to 12 persons

A certificate will be awarded on successful completion of each course and a corresponding entry will be made in the participant’s safety pass.

The certificates are valid for two years.

The content of the GWO training courses held at OffTEC meet the requirements of the Berufsgenossenschaft (Employers’ Liability Insurance Association)/DGUV in full. The corresponding DGUV certificates can be issued in addition for a charge of € 25.00 per certificate. Please note that that periods of certificate validity may vary.

If required, the course certificates will be uploaded onto the GWO’s WINDA database.
Please note that it is only possible to upload the course onto the WINDA database if we are informed of the participant’s WINDA-ID by the start of the course.
For refresher courses it is also necessary to provide the expiry date of the preceding certificate.
The certificate cannot be uploaded without this information.
